We have had THE rainiest "summer" so far... ever! It rains almost every day, and hard! After a relatively decent afternoon yesterday, we got another deluge last night. We sat out on the porch at about 9:00 just watching the rain and a little lightning. No rain yet today, but it's supposed to come this afternoon.
We drove down to Philly on Friday afternoon to spend the night with Mike and Emily. Saturday we had planned to go pick cherries but (surprise!) it was raining again. Some other friends Jo and Jon are staying with them as well, plus they're dog-sitting, so it was the six of us and two dogs just hanging out and relaxing. We played board games, watched movies and grilled out. In the afternoon, the rain stopped for a bit, so we all took the dogs out for a walk only to get caught in a HUGE rainstorm!! We were all (dogs and people) completely drenched. But after a shower and some borrowed clothes we were all warm and comfy, camped out on the couches again!
We didn't have anything exciting waiting for us back home, so we decided to stay Saturday night as well. More movies, board games, barbecuing... A fun, cozy, rainy weekend in with friends - what more could you ask for? We had a great time but we're looking forward to it being a little less rainy next time we see the Qs!
