First Snowfall!

Norah slept until 4:00 this morning before waking up to eat - hooray! - and when I got up to nurse her, instead of the usual view out our bedroom window, I caught a glimpse of that too-familiar sight of white coating the roof. Yep, our first snow of the year is here. Not just a dusting either! There are a couple of inches on the ground and it doesn't show any signs of letting up. It's that really wet, good-for-snowmen snow and everyone's enjoying it.

We bundled Norah up and took her for her first walk in the snow. She wasn't really sure what to think, but stayed cozy warm in her bunting and snuggled up next to me. (And a big thanks to Grandma, who made Norah mittens that arrived in yesterday's mail - just in time!)

 

Cole loves the snow and we could hardly contain him. Unfortunately, our fence contractor's furnace went out Friday, so he wasn't able to finish the fence. Next snow Cole should be able to romp around freely in the yard!

And it took Oliver about five minutes to announce very seriously, "I'd better get out there and give the sidewalk a pass with the snow blower."  Who doesn't love a new toy??
