The kids and I headed to Omaha last week to catch a glimpse of spring and spend some time with Kimberley and her family. It's always a little daunting making the 6+ hour drive with the kiddos, especially without two adults to help keep them entertained but they did AWESOME. We had such an easy drive down and a pretty good drive back, too. As usual, we had a great time just hanging out with our best 'Cutcheons!
Thursday we walked up to St. Vincent's for cafeteria lunch with Holly. Norah and Ryan chowed down on chicken nuggets. Not so much on the "cauliflorets" or green beans. Not sure how they lucked out to get double vegetable day?!?
After school, it was off to the playground where Norah had her shoes off in the first 30 seconds and both kids spent the next hour remembering how much fun it is to be outside! It did me good, too, to see the kids climbing, sliding, running... all those things they just haven't gotten to do much of during this harsh winter.
What's a trip to Omaha without a craft? I got a spring wreath made for the front door!
And we welcomed the newest member of the Black Jellybean-Lovers club!
We made it to the zoo, too, but somehow there aren't any pictures... Oh well! Thumbs up to Omaha for a sneak peek of warmer days to come!
