Norah is super into hats right now. Whether it's a real hat or something she's just calling a hat, there's pretty much always something on her head. If she proclaims something "hat" and hands it to you, be prepared to put it on your head and go on and on about what a lovely hat you're wearing! Also, she announces all the hats she sees throughout out the day.
Dude at Starbucks with a leather cowboy hat? "Hat!"
If you find the colander in the cupboard? "Hat!"
Muslim lady at the mall in a hijab? "Hat!" (She laughed).
Daddy's favorite Mets cap? "Hat!"
Your Cabbage Patch baby doll? "Hat!"(See? Anything can be a hat if you hold it on your head.)
Japanese tourist at the art museum with a straw sun hat? "Hat!" (while chasing after her and repeating it, in case she didn't hear you the first time).
Baby bike helmet? "Hat".
