An Update on Our Garden Patch

A month after putting my hop rhizomes in the ground, there's still no sign of shoots :( The squirrels and rabbits have been really busy in the backyard (we were keeping Cole out of the yard while the grass grows in) and I'm wondering if they just got eaten up...  I kind of want to dig down there to see if they're still there but a little bit of me is holding out hope that they're just REALLY slow to show?

Otherwise, everything but tomatoes has been planted. Spinach, carrots, lettuce, potatoes, onions, garlic, radishes, snap peas and zucchini. Onions, garlic and carrots are up and we'll see how everything else does. Cole's out in the yard more now, so hopefully his scent will keep rabbits and squirrels away. (We'll have to rely on his scent because Lord knows, he's not actually going to chase or catch anything! Worst. Hunter. Ever.)

The raspberries look great - I've spent a lot of time staking and tieing them up, so hopefully they'll be a little less unruly than last year.

Hopefully in a month we'll have a nice little garden full of veggies growing and if not, the farmers' market is exactly three blocks away.
