We Made It - Well Mostly

Thanks again to Kevin and Lindsay for taking in two stray travelers. So this morning we got up bright and early and got to the airport for our "6 AM" delayed flight. We boarded with no issue but after waiting for de-icing, and taxiing, etc, we ended up departing about 45 minutes late. Once we got to Omaha it was off to pickup our 4 suitcases (what you thought the Perezes would travel light???).

We waited for about 20 minutes before bags started coming out only to find out that none of our bags actually made it to Omaha. Apparently NW loaded the bags from other delayed flights to Omaha on our plane and were planning on trucking our luggage down to Omaha. As of 6 PM we are still sans bags, but we took advantage of our $50 stipend and made a little shopping excursion to Target.

We don't have our bags but considering all the delays and cancellations all over the country we are glad to be warm and enjoying good company, not to mention all the Christmas baked goodies! Hopefully our bags get here tomorrow but for the time being I'll enjoy my $9.99 Rolling Stones T-Shirt, man I miss Target.
