Extra Innings

Well, one day past my due date we're officially into extra innings. I see the midwife again tomorrow, so we'll see what she says. Probably the same things she always says: that my blood pressure is still looking good and that the average "well-nourished first-time mom goes ten days past her due date". That always makes me wonder if "well-nourished" is nurse code for "you might have gained a little too much weight, honey".

I'm trying to avoid the induction talk for as long as possible. As much as I'd like to meet her, as long as she's happy in there, I'm perfectly content to keep her cooking!
