I have an old gourd that Dad and Oliver turned into a birdhouse hanging from our arbor and today when I was taking the garbage out, I noticed a downy woodpecker scoping it out. I rushed in and got the camera, assuming he'd probably fly off before I could catch him, but he was still there!
I love that we we still get some good wildlife action, even though we live right in the city!
