Homebrewing

After watching a couple of our friends make their own beer for the last couple of years, we finally hopped on board the homebrewing wagon, thanks to a  timely birthday gift to Oliver from Mom and Dad P.

We spent a couple of hours sanitizing equipment and brewing up a batch of brown ale. The corner of my laundry room (a.k.a. "the crafts and wrapping center") is now home to large paint bucket of fermenting beer. The fact that it needs to ferment in the bucket for about a week has not deterred Oliver from announcing twice a day, "I'm gonna go check on the beer".  He's a little excited :)
