Easter

We just came back from an awesome Easter weekend down in Omaha. While it wasn't as warm and sunny as we thought it would be, we had a great time. Rob's brother and sister-in-law were there, so there were lots of people to hug Norah, share our homebrew and play crazy boardgames with.

Aside from all that, there was a lot on the agenda, including Norah's first haircut. There's been a serious baby mullet going back there for awhile now, so we took her to see Katie (she cuts Kimberley and the girls' hair and my hair when I'm there), who took good care of her.
I couldn't believe how well Noo held still through it, and we got everything cleaned up nicely. No bangs this time - I was afraid she'd look too much like a big girl with them - but maybe next time. It looks so much better and it's way easier to comb without all the tangles.

Of course Norah had an awesome time playing with her cousins, but she also spent some quality time with Biscuit, including the requisite crate inspection!
So it wasn't really a surprise to find out that the Easter Bunny hid her basket right on top of Bicky's crate. Norah didn't know what to do with it, but was happy to open and close (and open and close and open and close) the crate door while we all made a fuss over her.
After basket-hunting, Norah sneaked a quick nap before church and brunch at the club. She was awesome the whole time! It's a lot easier to keep her entertained in church when you can just keep passing her down to the next person in the pew! Five minutes each and mass was over! We all ate a ton at brunch - there were too many good treats to pass up.
While Norah napped, an afternoon Easter egg hunt kept the big girls entertained (yes, Rob is using a drill for the starter's gun!). The eggs had some good prizes - Dairy Queen gift certificates, money and Cadbury eggs - but there were some duds that had nothing and even a couple with dog treats!
The girls checking out their stashes and catching their breath post-hunt:
Spaghetti dinner was a hit all around, but Norah especially liked it! The big bowl of blackberries and raspberries combined with spaghetti sauce made her look like she was straight out of a Tide commercial!! I've got some bleaching to do this week...
Thanks, McCutcheons, for hosting all of us. We had a fun weekend and can't wait to see you guys in June :)
