Moving In!

Friday we closed on our new place. Everything went really smoothly and after we signed on the requisite 8,000 lines, the sellers were nice enough to walk us through the house, showing us all the quirks of our "new" 99-year old house. Having owned an old lady before and knowing how quirky they can be, we were glad to have the inside scoop! The movers came to unload bright and early Monday morning and they were an awesome crew. Everything was in the house and set back up by lunchtime, and we've been unpacking ever since. If you ever thought unpacking a new house wasn't the most fun you've ever had, try doing it at eight months pregnant. When it's 95 degrees out. And you don't have air conditioning!

Aside from my feet looking more like tamales than feet, everything's been going great. We're making a ton of progress and I think I've been doing a pretty good job of taking my time and calling Oliver in to move boxes and chase up and down the stairs. We see the midwife tomorrow morning, so hopefully she'll give me the okay to going at this level.

p.s. I LOVE the dining room built-in, maybe even more than the one we had in the Xerxes house!
The kitchen looks a ton better now. We need a BIG trip to the grocery store but all the boxes are gone.
